I did get my Flip Ultra video camera working. A few weeks ago I was messing around with it, and I tried updating its firmware. After
I did that it works fine. Unfortunately it worked too well! Now my mother likes it so much that she is always using it so I just gave it to her. I’ll buy another one sometime. They are cheap so its no big deal.

Right now I am figuring out all the pieces for my new computer that I want to build next week. I will order all the parts something this week. It should be a fun build. I’m kinda excited about getting a new computer. This one is about 3 years old and showing its age.

For some reason I just havent been sleeping well lately. Usually though, when I cant sleep, I can find something to watch on tv… But not last week! The Olympics were still on. I am so glad they ended last night!!! But now this week here in the U.S the Democrat National Convention will be on at night. I am so tired of hearing about Obama and politics this year. *sigh* I just cant wait until all the new tv shows start in the fall, and hockey too! I have something like 280 tv channels, so you’d think there would be something to watch during those sleepless nights, right? But there isnt! lol

When I was unable to sleep and the Olympics were on, I had an idea! I thought they should start a new Olympics and call it “The Science Olympics”. No drugs or hormones or anything are banned. Lets see the limits of what the human body can be pushed to! So what if someone just explodes or something during a game. They chose to do it, not me! If idiots are willing to take crack, meth or any other drugs, then I’m sure there will be people to compete in “The Science Olympics”.
I also had an idea for a different version of the show Survivor that involves only fat people. But I’ll save that one for now
Now those are what I’d call reality tv!

Hmm maybe my lack of sleep has made me a little crazy at the moment? haha

This is a really weird summer. Right now, its August and this is supposed to be the hottest month of the summer, but its not. Its been cool out at night and the vegetable garden is already starting to die, and looks like it should in early October. My nieces havent even been able to go swimming this month. What is wrong with the weather? Where is the global warming that I heard so much about???
I just hope this isnt a sign of a long hard winter ahead.

Ok, where do I start? Hmmm
Well, I was bored the other night so I watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in China. I found it boring like all opening Olympic ceremonies. Anyways I thought it was funny how China was promoting a “World” theme, and how we should all get along because we are all citizens of the world. Well, thats all fine and nice… But right after saying that they declared that they wanted to beat the U.S in the over all medal count. WHATEVER! What happened to the whole “peace” and “world” theme? Now I hope the U.S pounds the Chinese athletes in the dirt and dominates them in their own country!

Dont get me wrong. I dont dislike the Chinese people. I even have Chinese friends. But, when I go to the store I try to buy things that are not made in China, but thats almost impossible!

If China thinks that winning more Olympic medals means anything, then they are wrong. Nobody cares or remembers the next day. lol Honestly, most people here dont even watch the Olympics.

I say get back to focusing on peace…

Last week was not a good week for me. Last Saturday I woke up in the middle of the night feeling sick to my stomach. I didn't get to go back to sleep. I felt really sick and wasn't up to doing much all week.

Hopefully I will feel better this week and I can get some stuff done.

I would of posted some videos by now, but for some reason when I try to load the videos on my computer from the video camera, the video camera freezes. I dont know what the problem is. I’ve tried it with two different computers but it just freezes up! Maybe the “Flip Ultra” is garbage? I dont know, but its frustrating.

I haven't been getting much email lately… Only one since I fixed my computer. I guess everyone has forgotten me, or is just busy.

Since I didn't have any emails to catch up one, I decided to play some poker online and Pokerstars.com was having a big tournament that was free to enter. it payed the top 9 players $50 dollars each and the winner got $100… Guess where I finished out of 1300+ players? I finished in 10th place and just missed the money. What a BUMMER!!! lol But, I guess that I won some points/credits that I can use to get a free hat or shirt? I have to wait until they email me tomorrow to see what my prize is going to be.

I will be trying to post those videos of the puppy this week!

My computer is all fixed now and I’m back online. It was just the power supply that burned up. I ordered a new this one from newegg.com. I got it with free shipping and a mail in rebate… So $30 bucks wasnt too much to keep my old computer running. But, I’ll need to build a new computer by Sept or Nov…

I also bought a cheap Flip Ultra video camera so I can show some videos here in the future. I’ll try to post some videos of the new puppy Sparkles sometime next week. This week I’m just too busy…

Well. my computer died....
I believe the power supply burned up and hopefully it wasn't my hard drive. If it was my hard drive then I lost everything on my computer! *sigh*
Anyways, I ordered a new power supply today and hopefully that will get my computer running again...

I went out today and bought some oak wood. I want to make some corner shelves for my computer room. It should be easy to do. I just hope they look good when I’m done.

The new puppy is doing great. Sparkle is a funny puppy, and she growing fast! I will have to post some pictures on here soon. I have just been to lazy to download them from my camera lately. haha

Today is the first official day of summer here!

While today is the first “official” day of summer, it has felt like summer outside for almost a month now. It got really hot in May, but then it cooled off a little. The heat hasn’t been too bad lately. Yesterday was a perfect day to be outside. Today its still very comfortable but its quite dark and gloomy looking. I guess that I’ll be getting some bad rain or storms soon.

I should look into having my local weather displayed somewhere on my blog. I guess that may be of interest.
